Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve put up a post but I’ve had a lot going on the past week or so. It might be another day or so before I get a good one up but I thought, in the meantime, I’d at least share this quote I recently heard and really liked.
When asked what surprised him most about humanity, the Dalai Lama answered:
Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.
……….Speaking of living for the present: the weather in Phoenix is SLOWLY getting better and with the city’s oven-esque feel slowly waning it’s much easier to enjoy and appreciate the scenery.
