Best Guacamole

This recipe is straight from my mom’s Mexican friend who makes the BEST mexican food.


  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 fresh tomato chopped
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1 small can green diced chilies
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese (which if you want to veganize, just omit…it’s not totally essential)
  • 1/2 cup thinly shredded iceberg lettuce (sounds weird but it adds a good texture)
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 tsp onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • salt and pepper to taste
Using a fork, coarsely mash up avocados, I like mine still pretty chunky.  Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.   Adjust salt, pepper, lime, Tabasco etc according to preferences.
